Yan Ke (current: CJLU, B.Sc., Ph.D.: NUS, Postdoc: MIST)

Dr. Yan Ke graduated from National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2012. During his graduate study, he acted as a research assistant in NUS from July 2006 to Feb 2007 and from Sep 2010 to Sep 2012; a teaching assistant in NUS from Jan 2008 to Aug 2010; and a research engineer of Defense Science Organization National Laboratories (Singapore) from Mar 2007 to Feb 2008. His main research area at that time included computer graphics and computational geometry. His Ph.D supervisor was Dr. Cheng Ho-Lun, Alan. After graduation, he joined Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, Abu Dhabi (MIST) as a post-doc researcher. In UAE, he was interested in local engineering problems, including future power consumption prediction, HVAC problem detection and diagnosis and future smart city design for Abu Dhabi. The research area included time series analysis, big data, data mining and machine learning. His post-doc supervisor was Prof Afshin Afshari. In 2015, he went back to his hometown Hangzhou and joined local school China Jiliang University (CJLU) as a lecturer.
